What you are about to enter is The Church of Ed Wood.

We are an internet church that practices the religion known as Woodism.

Woodism is a pop-culture-based religion created in 1996 by Reverend Steve Galindo. We follow the late cult director Edward D. Wood Jr., and we look to him as a savior. We at The Church of Ed Wood use Ed and his films to inject spirituality into those who get little fulfillment from more mainstream religions like Christianity. By looking at his films and his life, we learn to lead happy, positive lives. We strive for acceptance of others and of the self.

You might think that it's silly or stupid, but Woodism currently boasts over 3,000 legally baptized followers worldwide! That's over 3,000 who have joined Reverend Steve Galindo in keeping Ed Wood's spirit and message alive! You might think we're silly or stupid. And that's fine with us. After all, we don't expect you to believe in Woodism. We expect you to respect the OUR belief in Woodism.

The Church of Ed Wood upholds the morals and ideals of Edward D. Wood and tries to preach Ed's message of total understanding and acceptance, regardless of what modern society may say. In doing so, the Church of Ed Wood discusses issues of sex, race, drugs, and transvestism in a frank (and oftentimes graphic) nature. As such, it has been known to upset easily offended, self-righteous, puritanical people.

If you are such a person, I strongly suggest that you go elsewhere. If, however, you are of an open mind and think that you that can handle Woodism, please continue. And remember, my friends, as Saint Criswell once said in Ed Wood's magnum opus "Plan 9 from Outer Space" ... Future events such as these will effect YOU in the future!
